Hi Mike n Tom, This was great to listen to, as I have spoken with Robert on the phone a couple of times in the last week. He’s is very committed to this stuff and has a real sincerety about it all, I found him very straight to the point. He also said ‘if im not serious, I might as well just forget about enlightenment’, which was a very good point because sometimes I would find thought sort of toying with the idea of enlightenment- and I recognised that thought has an amazing capacity to entertain ideas (and boy does it entertain!)I love that he offers his time free of charge. He has a great site and ive read most of his ebook and will also check out the other book he spoke of, as I love hearing about the teachings of the Bible in the veiw of nonduality. I have friends and relations who I can understand more now that I can translate their words into nondual language (I was raised with Christian religion as a foundation). I appreciate the things you guys were speaking about, especially the romanticism of the blissful state one thinks of as enlightenment, as I have been suffering dreadfully over that one recently (as Tom and Mike know! ) and theres a knowing now that its actually caused by seeing through the ‘I’ rather than through clarity/awareness. Ive realised that there is a real difference to these veiws which can be so very obvious when seen, but very confusing when looking through the ‘dirt’, The functioning of the mind also was doing its thing like you guys mentioned- ‘this is it- but this is not’, ‘oh no! I must have lost the veiw’ (or whatever). It was affirming to hear you speak Tom about the ‘dirt’ thats still part of the human condition and that it doesnt just disappear because of this new seeing.Seeing just the dirt as ‘The Absolute’ instead of seeing it as ‘an expression of’ the Absolute, arrising out of the Absolute just like every expression (and I mean EVERY expression)- but its the mentel habit (just a habit!) of labelling it ‘good or bad’, ‘enlightenment, not enlightenment’ this obscures the clear seeing. It was helpful to see when inquiring deeply, that the mental habit of labelling and discriminating etc… does not need to be involved at all, it does not play any important role (anymore)in the way of survival as it used to, and actually has been hindering the seeing of who we are, simply an expression of the wonderful joys of Life, only here and now. I got soo much out of this one, was perfect for me, very confirming, I like that.
This is great stuff!

Thanks Rieka,
You’re dead right about there being no need to discriminate between; this is it, not it, enlightened, unenlightened, good, bad. Just letting go and trusting that life knows exactly what it’s doing is the thing :)
